GLOBAL TRIBE in 2008
In addition to the work you supported helping us launch REACH Tucson, here is a look at some of the amazing work you helped us accomplish this year.
Baja, Mexico
Our partner in Baja is Pastor Bob Sanders and his team at Baja Christian Ministries. In just a little more than one year, almost 19,000 Purple Books have been distributes and started. Nearly 4,300 people have completed the study in one on one sessions. Of 575 groups studying, more than 160 have completed Purple Book. The work has grown from one director leading the study groups to 5 area directors. We have done two trips to Baja in support of the work, specifically for evangelism and working on the construction of homes, classrooms, and other buildings.
Fiji
Working with Bill and Rosalie Furler, Peter’s parents, who serve in Fiji, we provided a much needed generator for the Loutoka Heath Center, on the Island of Naviti. This generator will keep all the vaccines cool and they will not have to use old and suspect medicines now. Also they will have lights at night in the hospital while treating people, much better than oil lamps.
India
We provided funding to help Children’s Center in Bawana with the equipping of their day care center, providing the basic necessities and materials for the children and staff. We also provided support for missionaries Kevin and Lynette Menezes serving in Mumbai, India. – The funding helped them in their work with college students in India’s largest city, and their new work launching a shelter for orphaned and abused young girls.
Uganda
Working with Zzana Community Church we participated in micro financing for widows, allowing them to launch small business start-ups helping them to be self sufficient.
Haiti
In support of Hope For Haiti’s Children, we provided funding to help feed more than 1,000 children FOR A YEAR in a region marked by poverty and poor nutrition.
On behalf of Newsboys and the Global Tribe Team, we greatly appreciate you. As always, we appreciate your prayers and financial support. As Director, I will be glad to answer any questions and give whatever information that might be helpful.
For 2009, our focus will be:
Focus on Baja with a goal of three trips for building and evangelism and distribution of 40,000 Purple Books to new Christians.
Expand REACH - our goal is 20 REACH events for 2009, providing these unique evangelistic outreaches with no admission fee required. Already we are exploring dates with Family Life Radio to return to Tucson and to add Albuquerque and Lansing MI.
If you are currently a Global Tribe supporter, we appreciate your support, and ask that you continue with us in 2009.
If you have supported Global Tribe in the past and would like to renew your membership in the Tribe, or are excited by what you have read about 2008 and want to support 2009, we ask that you continue with us to make you mark.
To make a donation now, click on the button to make your mark. It is simple - all we ask is $1 a day, either monthly, for a year commitment, or a one time gift - whatever you are led to do.

Hi, I am an artist, and I have a story to tell you.
I was at a newsboys concert, and they were handing out flyers for global tribe, which I had never heard of before, and I was ignoring them pretty well - thinking that I don’t really have any extra money and that if I were to commit to even a dollar a day someone would have to help me out with food, etc.
Later, as the concert continued, it seemed to get very quiet for me, and over my shoulder I heard the words , as if whispered in my ear, ” You could feed those people with your art. ” My first thought was - ” wow, that’s arrogant…” then I realized it didn’t come from me, and that no one else was near enough to me to have said anything, let alone the music was typically concert-loud. I have come to realize that my gift was given me in order to make the world a better place, and I believe God has tapped me on the shoulder and suggested I do this thing - to feed people with my art. When I asked how much I am to give, I was directed to 2 Kings, 9 - 14, in which the word fifty is repeated no less than 15 times. In particular, the verse “please let my life, and the life of these fifty servants of yours, be precious in your sight. ” I am unable to turn my head and walk away from this. I am currently having a small show in which 50% of anything sold will go to global tribe, and am planning a much bigger show next year with the same donation. Please can you send me some material to have on hand, such as a few flyers or something to show people? I feel anything I donate should go to actually feed people, as those were my instructions.
Thank you for your time, and may God bless your efforts,
Diane Cameron
