Hello everybody.

Today we celebrated our 2nd birthday. Kamal and I went out and surprised the children with a cake. Each child received a laminated photo. The photo was taken when the children were at the mall. It is like their school photo. It was so exciting seeing the children looking at themselves. The mum’s were excited to see the photo’s also.

Over the last 2 years we have had a wonderful time. We’ve had children graduate and go off to government schools, these children often return to come in and say hi, we’ve had a number of parent teacher meetings, outings, fun days, art and craft, a doctor each month visiting, seeing the children develop and grow in confidence has been awesome.

God story number 2: Every year I take my team of volunteers to Jaipur, Rajistan. We go by train. When we got to our hotel one of our volunteers said that she had left her camera on the train, very sad. We had a great weekend and then headed back to the train. Kamal disappeared for a moment and then re-appeared with the camera. Wow. Praise God. He went to one of the workers and asked if anyone had found a camera here on Friday. (It’s the same train that we used) The worker said that he saw a rag picker (someone who comes on the train and picks up the plastics to recycle for money) had found the camera and the worker went up to him. The rag picker said that he wants 300 rupees for it. The worker knew that some of these rag pickers can be violent so didn’t want to force him to give him the camera so gave him the 300 and waited till someone came and asked for it. He held onto it all weekend, he was busy on the Saturday so told his work mates that if anyone asked about a camera he had it. Wow God is so great.

The older children of our centre are preparing to head off to school. All 12 of them. We get a real blessing out of seeing the children who have gone off to school when they come back to hi to us and bring us little flowers.

We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has supported us through prayer, financially and encouragement through these last 2 years. We look forward to your continuing support. It’s great that you are a part of our centre.
