GLOBAL TRIBE AND ONE5 FOUNDATION UNITE TO FORM GLOBAL TRIBE PARTNERS

July26

Dear Global Tribe Friends and Family,

We wanted to come to you personally to let you know some exciting news. Global Tribe and One5 Foundation have announced the merger of their two organizations, forming Global Tribe Partners, with offices in New Zealand, Nashville, and Kansas City. The combined core tenets will include: Healthcare, Education, Housing, Enterprise Development, and Leadership. These five pillars comprise the mission of the Global Tribe Partners, and merge the key elements each organization brings to the relationship. The union expands the scope of each organization providing complimentary focus on meeting the spectrum of needs for those living in extreme poverty. Moreover, from here forward, 100% of the money donated to Global Tribe will go to the projects we undertake, like Baja, Malawi, and Haiti.

Two key projects currently underway are the building of a hospital in the village of Maganga, city of Salima in Malawi, Africa, and the launch of a sustainable village of up to 350 homes in Baja, Mexico, to include a medical clinic, orphanage, and church. Global Tribe will also continue the medical work One5 initiated 48 hours after the devastating earthquake in Haiti. David Miller, Senior Vice President, Strategic Planning and Development at Nueterra Companies and former Chairman of the Board for One5 will serve as Chairman for Global Tribe Partners (photo: right). A veteran in missions and working with those in poverty, Global Tribe founder Anthony Walton has been named President of Global Tribe Partners. Walton will also serve to advise and support the board of directors. “Global Tribe, in partnership with other organizations, has long worked to develop and implement comprehensive strategies for eliminating poverty by meeting basic needs such as housing, health care and education, “ said Walton. “And then creating sustainability through economic development and leadership training as we focus on the long term solution.“

One5 Foundation, launched by Nueterra Healthcare, worked from a vision to lift up people living in poverty so they can succeed educationally, occupationally, relationally, financially and spiritually so they will, in turn, become leaders and enrich their communities and countries. The plan starts with the most vulnerable of all humans on earth: orphan children. One5 has been working to become a leader in building successful, sustainable communities. “It is our belief that by using an integral approach to understanding the cause of extreme poverty in specific communities and countries, followed by a comprehensive development strategy, we can change an entire country in a single generation,” says Chairman David Miller. “There is no more noble cause than to relieve pain and suffering, and extreme poverty is the number one source.”

Global Tribe began in 1992 when Walton arranged a medical mission to Romania to help rescue children in dire straights. From there, Global Tribe was launched, and began to partner with organizations to care for orphans, build homes for the poor, and to care for the overall well being of those living in abject poverty. Since then, they have embraced orphanages in 5 countries, directed 5 major citywide events collecting 14 tons of food for the poor, helped to build a few hundred homes in Mexico, launched education centers in their Global Café’s, and developed leaders in various organizations. Since 2007, their message has been taken to cities across the U.S through concerts by the top selling rock band Newsboys (photo above, www.newsboys.com), who will continue as primary spokespersons.

As always, we greatly appreciate your support. Together we continue to change lives, now in greater ways, and in more places. On behalf of the entire Global Tribe Partners team, Thanks you.

Wayne and Tucson October 18 and 31 respecively. The featured evangelist reunites original front man, John James, with Newsboys, a band with whom he performed for 16 years. James message was powerful –“The God of the Second Chance,” and following the invitation, James joined the prayer team to pray and speak with those who responded.

New to the Reach events was the addition of a morning prayer breakfast in both cities. The events were held specifically for local law enforcement. GlobalTribe Executive Director, Rob Michaels, a former police officer from Norfolk VA, organized the events with local officers.

The fall Reach events bring the total to 5 events since fall 2008: Tucson 2008 / Family Life Radio, Johnson City TN / WCQR, Saginaw MI / Family Life Radio, Ft. Wayne IN / Star 88.3, and Tucson 2009 / Family Life Radio. In total, the collective impact reflects the heart of the ministry:

  • 5 cities
  • 5 radio partners
  • 36,000 attended
  • 650 volunteers from 150 churches
  • 1180 responded to the Gospel
  • 17 tons of food was collected for the poor
  • And through the 12 months 3,500 people asked for information about missions trips

The core mission of GlobalTribe is to wage war on poverty – physical and spiritual. It began in 1992 when founder Anthony Walton led a team of 30 to Romania to provide aid for the children victimized by the cruel dictator Nicolae Ceausescu. Through the years, GlobalTribe has partnered with ministries with orphanages in 5 countries, missions in the Amazon and Zambia, evangelism and homes for the poor in Baja, launched youth centers in New Zealand, and conducted the 5 Reach events. For 2010, GlobalTribe’s focus is launching a village of 350 homes in Baja, partnered with Teen Mania and Baja Christian Ministries.

A Message From The Newsboys

September15

Dear friends,

We are headed out on tour again this fall with a new record, new staging and a lot of excitement for what the future holds. We will also be talking about GlobalTribe and asking for your support - just $1 a day - to change the lives of 350 families

Also joining us is Anthony Walton, our long time band pastor, friend and founder of GlobalTribe. Anthony is like family and so it was quite natural for us to help launch GlobalTribe in the U.S. We have been so moved by this ministry that we have accompanied GlobalTribe to Baja on a number of occasions and we are more motivated than ever to both serve the poor and raise the profile of GlobalTribe amongst our fans and beyond.

We are writing now because when you were at our show, you too were moved by the work of GlobalTribe, and decided to support the work financially - thanks. You each signed up to give a dollar a day, some monthly, some a year at the time. We deeply appreciate your support for a ministry we believe is vital, and changing lives.

GlobalTribe leadership cast a vision for 2010. We believe it is an opportunity to change a generation and offer hope for those to come. Joining forces with Teen Mania, we expect 2,000 volunteers to build a village with 350 homes, a church, and provide a system to supply pure water and reliable electricity, as well as solid biblical education-huge. To build such a model village is strategic in changing community mind-sets long term. We will change lives forever.

You helped us build homes before and it has changed the lives of many. Will you now join us and help us build a village?

We have accomplished a lot together. In 2007, we never would have thought that now over 37,200 people in Mexico would be going through the Purple book program, laying a biblical foundation-that’s amazing. Our Reach evangelistic events have now attracted a combined audience of over 100,000 globally. For 2009/2010 we have planned another 10 Reach Events: free Newsboys concerts throughout America to reach lost friends and family. Two of those are this fall - Ft. Wayne, IN and Tucson.

To accomplish what we really believe God has called us to do now, we need your help. Can you imagine building 350 homes for families now living in something we would not use to store our garden tools?

If you are already supporting Global Tribe, thank you - please pray and please stay. If you are not currently, please consider rejoining us, both in prayer and financially - just $1 a day. Together we CAN build a village and REACH the lost. Twenty-five people giving $1 a day can build two homes every year.

We already have volunteers, now we need to provide the money to buy the building materials to build the village. If 6,000 people give $1 a day, this project will be fully funded and 350 families will move into their new home.

Your $1 a day, either monthly or a year at a time, will help make this possible. Join the Tribe - Build This Village - Together.

Sincerely,

Michael Tait
