Dear Robert and the Global Tribe Team,

Greetings from Mumbai!

Thank you for your generous financial support. Your partnership has enabled us to move forward in our efforts to reach the lost and make disciples in Mumbai (the largest city in India).

We were able to continue training students in the premier colleges of Mumbai. We have established 10 new Life groups through which we are discipling and establishing young people in the Christian faith and in our church.

Your support also helped us to be a blessing in a shelter of girls from broken homes. Apart from providing regular trainings, we have also been able to provide for the needs of these children and show them the love of God through acts of service. There are about 100 girls in the age group of 12 to 20 years (some are orphans others are from broken and abusive families). We are training a team of six young Indian women to assist with our work in this shelter.

Our Doctor’s Visit

Namaste,

On the first Monday of each month our wonderful Doctor comes to visit the children. He checks their weight and any other complaints they may have.

On March 12th we celebrated a great occasion. Global Tribe Children’s centre turned one. We have been open for a year now and have seen many awesome things happen. Seven children have been admitted into school, 15 are heading off at the end of March, two children went away and came back, we have a doctor coming in once a month to administer medication when needed and to track their weight, our teachers are doing a fantastic job, we have had a trip to the zoo, the science museum and had a picnic at the park. We have also had a number of volunteers visit and bring needed resources to the centre.

We’re off to school!

These children, plus 3 more who are currently away, are heading off to school at the end of March.

This is very exciting for these children. It is our goal as a staff to prepare the children for school. I asked some of them how they were feeling and this is what they had to say:
