Dear friends,

We are headed out on tour again this fall with a new record, new staging and a lot of excitement for what the future holds. We will also be talking about GlobalTribe and asking for your support - just $1 a day - to change the lives of 350 families

Also joining us is Anthony Walton, our long time band pastor, friend and founder of GlobalTribe. Anthony is like family and so it was quite natural for us to help launch GlobalTribe in the U.S. We have been so moved by this ministry that we have accompanied GlobalTribe to Baja on a number of occasions and we are more motivated than ever to both serve the poor and raise the profile of GlobalTribe amongst our fans and beyond.

We are writing now because when you were at our show, you too were moved by the work of GlobalTribe, and decided to support the work financially - thanks. You each signed up to give a dollar a day, some monthly, some a year at the time. We deeply appreciate your support for a ministry we believe is vital, and changing lives.

GlobalTribe leadership cast a vision for 2010. We believe it is an opportunity to change a generation and offer hope for those to come. Joining forces with Teen Mania, we expect 2,000 volunteers to build a village with 350 homes, a church, and provide a system to supply pure water and reliable electricity, as well as solid biblical education-huge. To build such a model village is strategic in changing community mind-sets long term. We will change lives forever.

You helped us build homes before and it has changed the lives of many. Will you now join us and help us build a village?

We have accomplished a lot together. In 2007, we never would have thought that now over 37,200 people in Mexico would be going through the Purple book program, laying a biblical foundation-that’s amazing. Our Reach evangelistic events have now attracted a combined audience of over 100,000 globally. For 2009/2010 we have planned another 10 Reach Events: free Newsboys concerts throughout America to reach lost friends and family. Two of those are this fall - Ft. Wayne, IN and Tucson.

To accomplish what we really believe God has called us to do now, we need your help. Can you imagine building 350 homes for families now living in something we would not use to store our garden tools?

If you are already supporting Global Tribe, thank you - please pray and please stay. If you are not currently, please consider rejoining us, both in prayer and financially - just $1 a day. Together we CAN build a village and REACH the lost. Twenty-five people giving $1 a day can build two homes every year.

We already have volunteers, now we need to provide the money to buy the building materials to build the village. If 6,000 people give $1 a day, this project will be fully funded and 350 families will move into their new home.

The heart of global Tribe is reflected in our creed: To safeguard the helpless and do them no wrong; to show courage on behalf of those who cannot defend themselves. THE WORK of Global Tribe is to mobilize resources and partner with existing ministries, grass roots leaders, to make poverty history; to provide a platform for their work, recruit volunteers for their mission, and raise funds to help with their expenses, to expend our collective energy and resources to combat physical and spiritual hunger, both around the globe and at home. Here is a glimpse of our work. Global Tribe is to focus our resources on those with whom we partner.

Using the platform of a FREE Newsboys concert, we partner with a key local radio station, local churches and businesses, and a local food pantry to conduct an evangelistic event called REACH. Preceding each event, we visit with radio who hosts a meeting of pastors and another for businessmen. There we cast the vision, and encourage the churches to provide volunteers for the prayer team, and leadership for the assimilation team to make sure responders are connected to a church. We encourage Christians to bring neighbors, coworkers, friends, classmates, or anyone needing to hear the Gospel in an entertaining environment. Since fall 2008, we have done 3 events: Tucson AZ, Johnson City TN, and Saginaw MI. Collectively we saw 24,000 attend, 800 make decisions for Christ, 9 tons of food collected, 75 churches come together to impact the community, and 3 radio stations who were passionate about the Gospel!
